Daydreamer Fae

Hiya everyone. Cass here today with my first inspirational post as a member of the DT. I'm so happy to be on Amanda's fabulous team along with some other lovely girls.

I'm sharing my first card using the gorgeous Daydreamer Fae from the new release.
I think we all like to have a bit of a daydream. I know I do.

For the wings I decided to try a new technique for me. Scary thing for me to do, stepping outside my comfort zone. I love Distress Oxides and was so wanting to try something different for her wings.

I pressed all of these inkpads onto my mat and spritzed them with water. I then took a piece of card and smooshed it down onto the wet inks.
Is smooshed a word? I love the sound of it even if it isn't.
I kept spritzing and smooshing, drying in between with my heat gun.
After I had covered the card and while it was still damp, I sprinkled some Perfect Pearls over it and let it dry. It now has a lovely soft sheen on it.
I then printed the digi onto the card and cut out her wings. I then paper pieced them onto my coloured image.

Here's a close up of her wings. I just love the effect.

I wasn't quite sure what colour her wings were going to turn out so was happy with this soft lavender colour. I used these gorgeous digi papers from Kay Miller called Hopes And Dreams. Perfect colours and the perfect name for Daydreamer Fae. A happy coincidence.

I cut Fae out on my Brother ScanNCut leaving a 1mm border all around. I so love this machine for doing that. Saves trying to fussy cut with scissors.
The little Dream sign I bought years ago at a craft fair and it was just perfect for this card too.
