Let's Be Mermaids with Sassy Mermaid Chibi

Good morning! Vannessa here and welcome to my post for this month's new releases from Faery Ink. I am super excited to still be a part of this design team and just love all the images Amanda creates. Who can go wrong with super cute mermaids and faeries, right?!

Today I am sharing with you this gorgeous new image, Sassy Mermaid Chibi. Isn't she just the cutest?

I decided to colour her in one of my favourite colour combos - pink and purple and then added her to a brightly coloured card. Here's more of a close up of my colouring. I used the stippling (dotty) technique on her tail to create some texture and love how it came out!

Not sure if you can really see the background, but I used my distress oxide inks and water spray to create a watery background - much easier and quicker than colouring it with my Copic markers and to be honest, a much smooth blend too! I also added some Nuvo drops in glitter and crystal for some bubbles. I absolutely love these drops! Look how round they stay!

As I love mermaids, I have heaps and heaps of sea life themed dies and added lots of seaweed, starfish, shells, fish and a couple of seahorses to this card.

I hope you love all of the new releases this month and do pop on over to the Faery Ink Facebook Group and check out all the other DTs creations there. Don't forget to share yours there too!
