Fall Fae Thank You

Thanksgiving might be over here in Canada, but it's still to come in America and besides, any time is a good time to say 'Thank You' don't you think?

If you haven't yet grabbed this gorgeous One Day Fae freebie, you still have time by hopping over to the blog post here.  Do make sure you share your creations with her and any other images in the Faery Ink Facebook Community

I coloured up 'Ophelia Fall Fae' in warm, autumnal colours with a touch of sparkle on her wings and fussy cut her out (and when I fussy-cut, I go all-out....I hate those little white bits left in the middle!)

I've got a flip-card die kit, which is amazing as it has all the dies for decorating the panels and embellishments as well as cutting out the card shape.  It is of course possible to make a flip-card without this, but it's a whole lot easier!

I'm not quite sure why the larger dies cut as frames rather than solid shapes. It's a bit of a pain when you need the centre, but I just glue it back in and hide the join with something.
I bought the nesting dies that match this shape, but they're slightly different sizes to these ones, so it doesn't always work how I want it to.
You can see in the main photo above how I layered the shapes. I used foam pads to pop up the last one.  You can't tell the bottom one is just a frame with this layout.

The finishing touches were some orange ribbon, adorned with three colours of twine braided plus an outline sticker sentiment which I coloured green with my ProMarkers.

I do hope you enjoy playing with the freebie this month
