Girl Vamps Just Wanna Have Fun!

I make a lot of cards, so I thought it would be fun to make myself a little Halloween decoration for my inspiration today.

I always colour vampires in traditional colours of black, red and purple so this time I wanted to do something different.  I decided to make 'Lahla Vampire Fae' a girl who loves fashion and bright colours.

I bought some small wooden frames in the sale after last Christmas and typically put them away and didn't use them for anything! I took out the twine and traced around the shape on some Halloween paper, cutting out the centre rectangle.

This is the paper cut out.

I cut a piece of paper from the same pad to act as a backing.

Then cut a piece of acetate to size for the front window.  I really love the embossable acetate as it give such great texture and effects.

First I glued the backing paper down, then filled with sequins and glued the acetate on top.   I finished off by gluing the patterned paper on, poking a hole through and threading the twine for hanging.  Once this was done, I positioned the image so the sequins could be seen behind.
