Gabbie's Birthday Wish

Ok, I know we're almost halfway through January already, but as this is my first post for the year - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Today I am showcasing a brand new image 'Birthday Girl Gabbie', isn't she adorable?

I decided to dress her in my favourite colour, purple, with a bit of stippling for sparkle.

I recently won a gift voucher for Newton's Nook, so I got a balloon shaker set.  This is the first time I have used it.  This is the back of the shaker, which I have given a bokeh effect to match the background of the image.

After cutting the balloon front, I cut and glued an acetate sheet for the window.  My foam tape is too wide for this area, so I cut a length then cut down the middle.  It is much easier to remove all the backing tape when attaching to curved shapes as the tape is more pliable then.

The set does come with shaped confetti dies, but I decided to use sequins this time as I wanted a good shine and felt it worked better with my theme.

The finished shaker balloon with sentiment, which also comes with the set.  There is also a ribbon and bow die, but I have used braided twine instead.

You can grab this gorgeous image at discount price right now in the Faery Ink Etsy store.
