Straight Outta The Boudoir

Before I was a Faerykin I won Amanda's very first coloring book.   There are so many beautiful images in there, but one in particular spoke to my dark side - 'Skulls & Fishnet' is an adapted version of an image Amanda designed as a tattoo for her sister.   If you weren't aware, Amanda has now released a brand new coloring book and at the same time released digital versions of both.

I am so excited to be able to print off these images at different sizes to use for craft projects, that I wanted my first one to be something a little different than a card.   My inspiration for this shadow box came from my friend who is a photographer specializing in boudoir portraits for women and men.
I started by coloring the image and fussy-cutting. She actually sat for a few days as I really wasn't sure what I was going to do!
I just finished some notecards and thought the box would be useful
I've had this gorgeous red velvet for a long time and just happened to have a bit of stuffing
I hot-glued the fabric to the underside and around the sides of the box
Next I glued the ribbon.  My fingers did not thank me for all the hot glue! I then glued the rest of the fabric around then stuffing and glued it all into the box.
I finished off by gluing the image in and adding metal embellishment and some sequins.

You can grab the coloring books for yourself in the Etsy store.
